Yassine Ben Abdallah is a visual artist and designer based between La Réunion and Brittany. A graduate of Sciences Po Paris and the Design Academy Eindhoven, he develops a research-driven practice at the intersection of design and social sciences, exploring the cultural, political, and ecological legacies embedded in objects.
Through his objects and installations, he sheds light on obscured and marginalized narratives within postcolonial societies. His work challenges dominant discourses by proposing material counter-narratives that engage with identity, insularity, and the enduring traces of colonialism. From the Indian Ocean region, he approaches design as a tool for memory and resistance.
